What the app does
This adult self-control tool uses local, deterministic rules to recognise supported YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels screens. It can intercept feed swipes after a chosen video or leave a recognised short-video player. It does not provide medical treatment or enforce parental supervision.
Accessibility access and screen information
You choose whether to enable the AccessibilityService after reading the explanation in the app. The service inspects the structure and element identifiers of YouTube and Instagram screens to identify players, controls, comments and ordinary screens. In some interfaces it examines a control label to recognise a Shorts button. Window-change events help remove its overlay when you switch apps. Processing takes place in memory on your phone. Private message text, video and audio are not recorded, stored or transmitted.
In one-video mode the protective layer intercepts swipes and forwards short taps to keep supported controls usable. In blocking mode the service performs Back when a player is recognised. An unverified target-app version is temporarily restricted as a whole until you complete a local compatibility check. You may revoke access at any time in Android settings.
Data stored on the phone
The app stores your choices, language, consent, checked target-app versions, stopped-swipe counters, compatibility-check times, failed-password counters and a salted password hash in its private Android storage. It does not store the password itself. Android backup of this app data is disabled. It does not keep a history of links you open.
Collection and sharing
The store build has no internet permission, account, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or developer-operated server. It does not send app data to SELENA Digital or third parties. Diagnostic tools used during development are excluded from the store build.
YouTube and Instagram open shared links in their own apps and operate under their own policies. Android and Google Play provide installation, updates, security and licensing services under their respective policies. Google Play automatic protection may periodically require the Play Store to connect to verify the installation; this is separate from the app’s local blocking logic. We do not receive private screen content through those services.
Security, retention and deletion
Settings remain on the device until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall it. Those actions delete the local settings and password hash. The app has no account to delete and no server-based password recovery. The settings password discourages casual changes; it does not prevent disabling the service or uninstalling the app through Android or Google Play. No app can guarantee that an owner-controlled device cannot bypass these controls.
Support requests and this webpage
If you email us, we receive the address and information you choose to send so we can respond. Do not include passwords, private conversations or unnecessary personal information. You can request deletion of support correspondence by contacting the same address, subject to applicable legal retention requirements. This static page includes no analytics, forms or advertising scripts. Cloudflare hosts this site and processes ordinary web requests under its own policies.
Changes
Changes to this policy will be posted here with a new effective date. If app behaviour changes materially, its in-app explanation and store disclosures will be updated accordingly.
